Community Development Block Grant

Our MISSION [primarily through the Community Development Block Grant Program] is to award and administer federal financial assistance to units of general local government in federally designated areas of the State to further develop communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities principally for persons of low to moderate income in accordance with federal statutory requirements.

Our GOAL is to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Louisiana - principally those of low and moderate income - through the implementation of sound management practices and the effective administration of the federal grant program.

Notice of Public Hearing - FY 2013 Consolidated Annual Action Plan

2012 – 2013 Application Packages:  Since posting LCDBG’s 2012-2013 Application Packages on the website, HUD has changed the path for accessing the 2011 Income Limits by individual parishes.  Instead of using the link found in the application package, please click on or enter the following web address:

http://www.huduser.org/portal/datasets/il/il11/index_il2011.html

This will take you to the main page for HUD’s FY 2011 Income Limits Documentation System.  Once there, simply click on the button labeled “Click Here for FY 2011 IL Documentation” then follow the instructions found on page 167 of LCDBG’s Public Facilities application package to retrieve 2011 Income Limits for an individual parish.
