This is to inform you that the following Microsoft agreements have been finalized:
1) Microsoft Select Amendment - This amendment entitles all agencies and educational institutions to LEVEL D pricing for all product categories. Prior to this amendment, agencies were getting Level C pricing for Applications (such as Office) and Level A pricing for Systems (such as Windows2000). This amendment will result in savings of 7% - 10% per product purchased. The current Select agreement expires in August. A new agreement is currently being reviewed and is expected to be in place when the old agreement expires.
2) Microsoft Master Campus Agreement - For the first time, the State has signed a Master Campus Agreement with Microsoft. This entitles higher education campuses (of any size) in all four school systems to obtain the greatest discount level available. Prior to this, small campuses did not qualify for the greatest discount.
3) Microsoft Master Premier Services Agreement - Agencies and educational institutions can now sign individual service agreements for technical support that reference a single State Master Agreement without the need to negotiate terms and conditions. Also, small agencies can piggy-back services with larger agencies to share technical incidents, or they can sign up for a smaller number of incidents, resulting in a lower overall buy-in level cost.
4) Microsoft Enterprise Agreement - The State has signed a new Master Enterprise Agreement that entitles agencies who enroll their desktops to LEVEL D pricing. This results in even greater savings than the Level C pricing offered in the prior Enterprise agreement. Agencies who currently have Enterprise Agreements will be able to purchase "Renewal" pricing at a reduced cost per desktop.
