When to Use the CSSA?

The CSSA is used for an information technology project between $50,000 AND $2,000,000. The maximum amount allowed for the use of the CSSA is $2,000,000 per year or for multi-year contracts up to three(3) years with $2,000,000 maximum per year for a total allowable of $6,000,000. The CSSA is an optional method of soliciting information technology services to the traditional competitive methods such as Invitation to Bid (ITB) or Request for Proposal (RFP).  However, if you choose not to use the CSSA for procuring I.T. consulting and support services, OIT wishes a letter of justification attached to the PST material on why you chose not to use this process.
