Field Services staff provide probation, parole, and informal adjustment services and liaison with the courts. In 9 of 64 parishes, local court staff provide probation services. OYD supervises approximately 65 percent of the total juveniles on probation. DYS serves an average of approximately 7000 cases per month. In general, these staff serve youth between the ages of 10 and 20, with a median age of 16. Costs shown below include administrative and indirect costs.
