The mission of the State Activities appropriation is to coordinate and provide efficient and effective programmatic and fiscal administration/oversight for all Department of Education activities.
The goal of the State Activities appropriation is to help Louisiana students reach challenging academic standards through its commitment to customer service, support for its partners, educational research, both internal and external technology, workforce planning and development, financial integrity, and strategic planning and performance measurement.
The State Activities appropriation has eight programs: Regional Service Centers, Executive Office, Office of Management and Finance, Office of Student and School Performance, Office of Quality Educators, Office of School and Community Support, and Technical College State Activities and Auxiliary Account.
This agency's recommended appropriation includes $163,882 in short-term debt for Fiscal Year 1998-1999.
