This program includes the cost of staff who oversee the contract services and who match youth with appropriate programs, and the cost of the contracted private residential and community-based programs. Private residential programs include residential treatment facilities, group homes, marine programs, and emergency shelters. Also included in this category are diagnostic programs and inpatient psychiatric hospital stays to stabilize and evaluate youth. Community-based programs include day programs, such as intensive supervision and tracking programs; and community-based prevention programs that focus on diversion. In general, these programs serve youth between the ages of 10 and 20, with a median age of 16. Costs shown below include administrative and indirect costs.
