TANF Executive Office of Oversight and Evaluation
Mission: The mission of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Executive Office of Oversight and Evaluation is to provide effective leadership in the oversight and evaluation of TANF funded initiatives and services, and to provide policy guidance and recommendations supported by empirical data and assessment tools in the delivery of quality supportive services and programs to help Louisianas needy families attain self-sufficiency.

The philosophy of the TANF Executive Office of Oversight and Evaluation is to serve as catalyst for change through accountable, innovative, and creative service delivery mechanisms that support better employment, family stability and education outcomes for Louisianas low-income families thereby enhancing the quality of life for all of Louisianas citizens.

  The goals of the TANF Executive Office of Oversight and Evaluation are:

1. To ensure continued coordination between the Department of Social Services and other  TANFstate
 partner agencies in the facilitation, implementation, and expenditure of TANF funds in accordance  with state and federal guidelines.       
2. To provide oversight and accountability of TANF funded services and expenditures as
  demonstrated  through performance accountability measures, monitoring, and program  evaluation.       
3. To effectively disseminate and provide sound empirical data which will guide policy-making decisions
 in the expenditure and delivery of program services statewide.        
4. To demonstrate the effectiveness of programs and services in enhancing the quality of
 life of  Louisianas citizens as they relate to better outcomes for employment, educational attainment and family stability for low-income families.
