proposed changes to existing rules
OSUP published a Notice of Intent in the November 2024 Register to make changes to Ch 1. Payroll Deduction Rule. This proposed rule can be reviewed in the November 2024 Register available on the Office of State Register's website. The current rule may be reviewed on the OSR website under Title 4, Part III, Ch. 1.
The deadline to submit inquiries about this change has passed. There were no comments/inquiries or requests for a hearing so no hearing will take place.
The final rule will be published in the February 2025 Louisiana Register.
Second Notice - no changes
Rulemaking Petitions
In accordance with R.S. 49:9649(A), any interested person may petition an agency to adopt a new rule, or to amend or repeal an existing rule. An interested person shall submit a written petition to the Division of Administration, Office of the Commissioner. The petition shall include:
- the petitioner's name and address:
- the name of the promulgating agency for the rule in question;
- specific text or a description of the proposed language desired for the adoption or amendment of a rule, or the specific rule and language identified for repeal;
- justification for the proposed action; and
- the petitioner's signature.
The rulemaking petition shall be submitted by certified mail and addressed to:
