Telecommunications Information Notice 13-02 Emergency Notification Service
The Office of Telecommunications Management has three new contracts for Emergency Notification Services to replace the two contracts that expire June 30, 2013.
At this time, we are requesting those agencies using the expiring contracts move over to one of the three replacement contracts listed below. Pricing on the new, replacement contracts varies, with two of the contracts having a flat rate monthly cost as well as a monthly per recipient charge. The third contract does not have a flat rate monthly but does have a higher per recipient monthly charge. OTM advises agencies to fully research the capabilities of all of the systems and to perform the annual financial calculations before making a choice.
ENS is a web-based service that provides speedy and simultaneous alerts or notifications via SMS, email, cellular and landlines to agency-chosen recipients. ENS is easy to access and use to make programming changes, to initiate alerts, and to send notifications. Outgoing alerts and notifications can be initiated from any smart device, laptop or personal computer.
Refer to either the OTM Catalog of Services or the State Purchasing website for detailed pricing and vendor contact information.
Account establishment and billing are to be handled directly between the procuring agency and the vendor.
