Telecommunications Information Notice 20-04: Billing Correction for Non-Standard Dial Tone

The Office of Technology Services would like to make customers aware of a billing correction which will impact some Non-Standard Dial Tone customers. Beginning in October 2019, the vendor providing NSDT services began billing two OTS accounts at a much higher rate than the contract, due to an error in their system. Instead of passing these increased amounts to the user agencies, billing was suspended until the vendor corrected the rates and issued credits. It has taken nearly a year working with the vendor to get the corrections made and credits issued to these accounts.

The increase on September’s bill is related to the unbilled NSDT amounts for October 2019 through December 2019, as well as the current month’s charges which are now billing correctly. The unbilled amounts for the remaining months of January 2020 through August 2020 will be billed over the next few bill cycles. OTS regrets any inconvenience this may cause to customer agencies.
